Visiting Slippery Rock High School? Directions to our Campus

Example Schools – Rocky Grove, Franklin, Oil City

1. From your perspective school/area make your way to Route 8.
2. Head south on Route 8.
3. You will follow Route 8 – South through the following three areas Barkeyville (Exit to I-80 located there), than Harrisville, & finally through Forestville.
4. After passing Forestville you have a few options to get to the school:
   1. On your right you will approach PA 108 W, take the right.
      1. 2-3 mile road that eventually turns into Franklin Street when you approach the stop light with Slippery Rock Dry Cleaners on the corner (right hand side, brick building).
      2. Continue straight through this light onto Franklin Street.

• Come to the next stop light. Sheetz will be on the right. At this light take a left onto S. Main Street

1. On S. Main Street you will then pass through two more stop lights (Dunkin Donuts & Subway both on your right.)
2. Once through the two stop lights there will be a church on your right, pass the church, and come around a bend. Slow down! Take the next left.
3. The left is right past the Big White Barn, that road is called Rocket Way.

• Down the hill you will see all of our athletic facilities: football field, baseball field, event parking lot & main entrance to the gymnasium. Doors 25 & 26 will get you into our main gym for events.

1. Miss PA-108? Continue down Route 8 heading south.
   1. Next road to look for is Kiester Rd. Turn right onto Kiester Rd, the turn is right across from “Raise the Woof”.
   2. Follow this road into Slippery Rock, come to a 4-Way Stop sign by a stone house (left side), tennis courts (right side), and go straight at stop sign.

• On Kiester Rd., see two entrances for Slippery Rock Area School District (left side). First entrance takes you to the Middle School parking lot. Second entrance takes you up Rocket way towards the High School.

1. Rocket Way comes to a split you can go right or straight.
2. Once at the back parking lot you will see all of our athletic facilities: football field, baseball field, event parking lot & main entrance to the gymnasium. Doors 25 & 26 will get you into our main gym for events.

Example Schools – Butler

1. If you are located in Butler, South of Butler, East of Butler, this will be your best option to get to Slippery Rock Area High School for an event.
2. Make your way to Route 8: I-422, PA-365, & PA-68 all connect you into Butler, Pa/Route 8. Wherever you connect you want to make sure you are on Route 8 heading north.
3. Route 8 N, follow this road all the way for miles. Pass the following land marks: Drive-In Movie Theater & Fire Department (right side). Pass a Dollar General (left side).
4. Stay on Route 8 N, until The Old Stone House (right side), there will be a left hand turning lane to switch into, turn left on to PA-173.
5. PA-173, follow this road all the way to the back entrance of the High School. Pass the following land marks: Mystery Mayhem Escapes & Axe Throwing (right side) and Fox’s Pizza (left side). Pass Fox’s Pizza, less than half a mile away.
6. On your right hand side you should see a big White Barn with the words Slippery Rock Rockets on it, take the right at the barn.
7. Down the hill you will see all of our athletic facilities: football field, baseball field, event parking lot & main entrance to the gymnasium. Doors 25 & 26 will get you into our main gym for events.

Example Schools – Seneca Valley, Mars

1. Coming from the South? Take I-79 N. North towards Erie.
2. On I-79 N until exit 105 (Slippery Rock)
   1. Make a left at the stop light, now on PA-108 heading east.
   2. PA-108 takes you into Slippery Rock.

• Come to a stop light in town, Sheetz (left side). Turn right at on to S. Main Street.

1. On S. Main Street you will pass through two more stop lights (Dunkin Donuts & Subway both on your right.)
2. Once through the two stop lights there will be a church (right side), pass the church, and come around a bend. Slow down! Take the next left.
3. The left is right past the Big White Barn, that road is called Rocket Way.

Example Schools – Clarion, Red Bank, North Clarion, AC Valley

1. Coming from the East? Get on I-80 W heading towards Barkeyville.
2. You will get off Exit 29 (Barkeyville).
3. Take a left off the exit. Now on Route 8 heading south.
4. Follow Route 8 – South through the following three areas Barkeyville (Exit to I-80 located there), than Harrisville, & finally through Forestville.
5. After passing Forestville you have a few options on getting to the school from here:
   1. Right hand side you will approach PA 108 W, take the right.
      1. 2-3 mile road that turns into Franklin Street. Approach the stop light with Slippery Rock Dry Cleaners on the corner (right hand side, brick building).

• You will come to another stop light with Sheetz (right side), at this light turn left onto S. Main Street
