Home Education

Section 1327 of the Pennsylvania School Code provides for a home education program designed to permit a parent, guardian, or legal custodian who has a high school diploma or its equivalent to conduct a home education program for his or her child(ren).  This program may be a home education program or private tutoring.  
 
Important Dates:
  
DUE BY AUGUST 1 of each school year:
 
*Notarized Affidavit or Unsworn Declaration
*Outline of Proposed Education Objectives by Subject Area
*Evidence of Immunization or Religious Exemption
*Evidence of Student Health and Medical Services
 
DUE BY JUNE 30 of the school year:
 
*Home Education Evaluation 
 
Participation in Academic Courses, Vocational Programs, or Extra/Co-Curricular Activities
If your student is interested in participating in any academic courses, vocational programs, or co-curricular activities, please contact the building principal by May 15 for the following school year.   If your student is interested in participating in extra-curricular activities, please contact the Athletic Director prior to the season.
