Welcome to Slippery Rock Area High School. Located in Butler County, roughly 50 miles north of Pittsburgh, the High School serves approximately 650 students in grades 9-12. Our high school experience offers students a wide variety of educational experiences, from robust academics including over 20 AP and Honors courses, to highly competitive athletics and state recognized fine arts programs. 


Voted among America’s Best High Schools in 2017, 2018, and 2019, the District’s mission to cultivate knowledge and encourage independence is reinforced daily by our talented and dedicated faculty.  Our experienced classroom teachers, guidance counselors, and support staff consistently provide an excellent learning environment for our students, while assisting them in realizing their academic, career, and social/emotional goals.

Classes are scheduled to resume at Slippery Rock High School, face to face, on Monday, Nov. 16th.
 
Until then, you must continue to use Google Classroom to complete your work and log in for attendance.
 
On Friday, November 13th, you may access all of your classes through Google Meet / LiveStream.  Use this time to ask questions, see your classmates, and check in with your teachers.
Transportation for VoTech students is scheduled to begin on Monday, Nov. 16th.
As of Thursday, Nov. 5th, Slippery Rock High School is now teaching all courses virtually.
 
If you need a chromebook, please contact Mrs. Foster in the Main Office.  We are planning to distribute on Thursday between 12:00-4:00. 
 
If you need internet service, please see below for a list of locations near Prospect.  If you are in the Slippery Rock area, the Community Library has free wifi access  ("Homework Hub" is the name of the network).
