Rotary Club of Slippery Rock-The Rotary Club of Slippery Rock has established a one thousand-dollar ($1000.00) scholarship for a Slippery Rock High School student. The recipient of this $1000 scholarship must demonstrate how they exemplify the Rotary value of “Service Above Self.” Rotary is a global network of volunteers committed to serving the needs of their local communities and addressing issues around the world such as poverty, health, hunger, illiteracy and the environment. The Rotary scholarship will be awarded on the basis of community service, character, school activities, special individual circumstances and scholastic achievement. Applicants must be accepted at a post-high school training either at a community college or a vocational training program and have a 2.8 GPA or above.
