Classroom Lessons

Once per month, the school counselor visits each K-2 homeroom to present a 30-45 minute classroom lesson on the monthly character trait and social emotional needs identified by classroom teachers. These lessons are designed to encourage students to make positive choices and interact appropriately with peers and adults. 

 

Roughly once a month, the school counselor visits each 3-5 homeroom to present a 30-45 minute classroom lesson. These lessons center around career development and/or different social emotional needs. During the career lessons, students work on items to add to their career portfolios. These portfolios, which are required by the Pennsylvania Department of Education, are added to each school year from 3rd-12th grade.
