Volunteering with Slippery Rock Area School District

At Slippery Rock Area School District, we are incredibly grateful for the dedicated volunteers who support our students and staff. Whether you are chaperoning a field trip, cheering on our athletes, or helping out with musical competitions, your time and energy make a meaningful impact.

To comply with Pennsylvania state law, all public school volunteers must secure three standard background clearances. You can begin the volunteer application process by clicking here: Raptor Volunteer Application or by scanning the QR Code below.

To complete the application process you will need to upload the clearance documentation available within the Raptor portal as well as linked to the right under "PA Clearance Links".

Volunteer Process

• Online Submissions Only: All clearances must now be submitted digitally through the Raptor system. Please note that the district can no longer accept physical paperwork or emailed documents.

• Submit Together: Make sure you have all three required clearances ready before starting your upload. Partial submissions cannot be processed by the system.

• Processing Time: After submission, district administration will review and verify your documents. This approval window can take up to 60 days, so please plan ahead.

• Verify Your Document Types: Double-check that you are uploading the exact clearance types required by the state. Submitting incorrect forms will cause delays in your approval.

• Approval & Notifications: You will receive an automated email from Raptor as soon as your volunteer status is approved.

 

* Keep in Mind: Your volunteer clearances are valid for 5 years. To help you stay up to date, the Raptor system will automatically email you a renewal reminder 30 days before your current clearances expire.
