End of year screening announcement.
Parents and guardians as we approach the end of the school year we would like to remind you that your child has mandated screening exams available through the Tyler parent portal. If you child did not pass a screening, a letter was mailed to you at the time of the screening with recommendations for folllow up. If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to email the nurse in the building your child attends or speak to your family physician.
Remember the 24 Hour Rule of Thumb!
Students may return to school after the following:
· 24 hours without vomiting and/or diarrhea (and tolerating a normal diet)
· 24 hours after initiating antibiotics, including eye ointments
(If your child still seems tired, pale, little appetite, not tolerating solid foods, and generally “not him/herself”, PLEASE do not send him/her to school. Some viral illnesses may take longer before your child is well enough to return to school.)
THE HEALTH ROOM IS NOT TO BE USED INSTEAD OF THE FAMILY PHYSICIAN. AN INJURY OR ILLNESS OCCURRING OUT OF SCHOOL SHOULD BE TREATED AT HOME.

Dear Parents,
In an effort to increase communication regarding your child’s health, we have opened the Health module within Tyler Student Information System. This module is available as a menu item in the existing Parent portal and will be available May 31st. Student Health details are only available through the Parent portal and have not been made available to students. The Health module currently shows the following information:
- Medication Details
- Student Health Details
- BMI Screenings
- Vision Screenings
