Slippery Rock Area School District takes part in contact tracing with our full-time nurses and administrators. All individuals in our schools who have been diagnosed with COVID-19 are contacted and interviewed by the team, which allows us to develop comprehensive lists for potential close contacts. Anyone identified as a potential close contact (defined as an individual who was within 6 feet of an infectious person for at least 15 minutes or who was directly exposed to respiratory secretions [e.g., cough or sneeze], will be contacted by a representative of the Pennsylvania Department of Health (PADOH) who will provide further information and instructions.
